Heartland Knits Podcast/Vickie....Felted Mitten challenge...I’m trying to collect 50 pairs of felted mittens to assemble into a mitten tree and distribute to the Day by Day Warming shelter, the homeless shelter in town. The most need is probably for men’s mittens so pastel type colors might not be the best, but sizes can vary. They can be a quick to knit project and use up odds and ends if they’re striped. Originally I was going to run it until Labor Day but may let it go into September in order to get more participation. Sadly, I have not promoted it very well. I have two prizes lined up for it, a pair of fixed Signature Size 6 (4mm) needles and a skein of Wollmeise Twin.
